For teens, we offer activities geared towards keeping them off the streets and getting them involved into constructive endeavors via entertainment. We introduce the teens to the world the music production, disc jockey, dance & dance choreography, etc. They learn to digitally mix and pre-master, scratch and blend beats on turntables and CDs. Finally, the teens learn what it takes to start and run a record label, as well as, learn the process of creating music.
We have worked with James Monroe Center in the Soundview Section of the Bronx. The teens learned Hip-Hop dance, African dance, jazz dance, music production, etc. We started a teen dance group Jus Press Play Dancers. They have performed for National Council of Negro Women, East Bronx Section, Junior Scholars at the Schomburg Library in Harlem, Little Theatre at the YMCA in Harlem, and at Fordham University for a Tsunami Relief Benefit Concert given by Bronx Community Board 6. The teens have many more shows lined up.
Finally, we have our very own youth disc jockey. DJ Rahnezzy does all of our children and teen parties.
